MODULAR BELLOWS

The simplest and cheapest solution for the protection of your mechanical parts

Each kit includes, in addition to the required collars, an end cap and a starter cap.

They are easy to attach and guarantee full protection of any mechanical device without limiting movement.

MODULAR BELLOWS grades in NBR(R), EPDM (E), Food Grade Silicone (S)

NBR RUBBER (Black color) R:Resistant to oil and grease, protected for outdoor applications (but if constantly exposed to sunlight better use EPDM), excellent elasticity and durability.

FOOD SILICONE (color orange RAL 2005) S:Suitable for food contact, resistant to 200 °C in continuous operation, high quality, excellent elasticity and durability.
Fairly resistant to oils and greases.

EPDM RUBBER (Black color) E: Very low resistance to oil.
High resistance to weathering and ozone.
Excellent elasticity and durability.

LEKUN RUBBER PLASTICS

The modular bellows series is ideal both for emergencies (as all sizes are always available from stock in at least two materials: black NBR and orange food grade silicone), and for special sizes, as the possibility of perforating the collars on request and of inserting gaskets to obtain different lengths and runs allows the protection bellows to be perfectly adapted to the device in which it is installed.

The modular bellows is made up of several elements that fit together as desired.
It is the ultimate solution to the exhausting search for a rubber protection bellows.
What's more, the price is much lower than traditional sewn, glued or heat-sealed bellows.

Upon request, it can be manufactured in many different materials: Silicone, Neoprene, Dutral, Viton®, FKM, CR, VMQ, HNBR, among others.

Rubber bellows, standard or modular, should not be used in case of pressure difference between outside and inside.

The modular bellows patent allows the various bellows components to be assembled in order to obtain a high quality rubber protection of the required length and diameter.

A complete bellows consists of at least one bellows and two collars with a hole drilled to the required diameter before shipment.
Always order 1 mm less than the diameter in which it will be installed, so that it is perfectly fixed.

The assembly is very simple, it does not require any glue or rubber bands, it uses only the elasticity of the rubber.
It is always possible, for particular applications, to add glue
or to install a strip.
(Ask us for the special adhesive LK-1000).

The hole of the collar, which is produced already drilled, according to the required diameter with a simple lathe or by asking us before shipment, or by doing it yourself with a hand drill.

The hole should be 1 or 2 mm smaller than the diameter in which it is placed, so that it can be installed manually and the elasticity, together with the friction, of the rubber will always keep the collar in position.

Various accessories, measures and the quality of the material allow to obtain a complete product, which keeps the air filtered, to fully protect the rod of the cylinder, the jack or any screw or organ of movement for many
years.

In addition, special seals allow the connection of many bellows to obtain any required length and stroke (the drawing on the right shows an example with bellows 1 and 2 collars at the ends).

Parameters to be taken into account when choosing the bellows

For the correct choice of the measurements of our bellows we will have to pay special attention to the dimensions B, D1, D2 and C.
